We are looking for a UX / UI Designer (Design Systems Expert) to join our growing Experience Design department. In this role, you will be part of a team ensuring a consistent and exceptional UX and UI across all the products we design, and a key contributor to the evolution and maintenance of a multi-brand, international Design System. You will be responsible for designing, researching and documenting the Design System within a large, complex organization. As part of Ogilvy and our Experience Design team, you will be a champion for user-centered design and a collaborative partner to other designers, project managers, and key business stakeholders.
Requirements
* Experience: 2+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a strong focus on Design Systems.
* Design System Expertise: Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Design Systems in complex organizations.
* Design Tools: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro or similar. Experience with IA tools is a bonus.
* Prototyping Skills: Strong prototyping skills, with the ability to create interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts.
* Accessibility Knowledge: Solid understanding of accessibility principles (WCAG) and experience designing accessible user interfaces.
* Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.
* Experience in Design Agencies: Experience being part of agencies and understanding the dynamics of the relationships with stakeholders within various projects.
* Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, especially your experience with Design Systems.
Bonus Points:
* Experience with component libraries, design tokens, variables and theming.
* Experience with design system governance and contribution models.
Languages
* Spanish (native level).
* English (High level desirable).
Task and Responsibilities
* Design System Ownership: Take ownership of the Design System, from initial concept and design to documentation and implementation guidance.
* Design and Development: Design and prototype new UI components, patterns, and interactions for the Design System and other projects, ensuring they are accessible, scalable, and meet user and business needs.
* Design System Maintenance: Maintain and update existing Design System components and documentation, ensuring they remain current, accurate, and aligned with evolving brands requirements, design standards and best practices.
* Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with other product designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the Design System is effectively integrated into product development workflows.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the Design System and other projects, including usage guidelines and accessibility considerations.
* Feedback and Iteration: Actively solicit and incorporate feedback from designers, project managers, and different stakeholders to continuously improve the Design System and the different products we work on.
* Contribution to Design Standards: Contribute to the development and evolution of our overall design standards and best practices.
* Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in design systems, UX design, UI design and accessibility.
