The Fundació Privada per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover the research activity that is carried out, both in the biomedical and social sphere, at the Maternal and Infantile Hospital of Esplugues, in the Parc Sanitari de Sant Boi de Llobregat and in other centers of the Hospital Order San Juan de Dios - Province of Aragon San Rafael.

We are looking for a self-driven and committed Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) at Foundation Sant Joan de Déu to provide daily scientific, technical and managerial support to European projects of the Project Management Office portfolio.
The International Post-Award Unit runs a portfolio of more than 50 active European projects (mainly from European Commission- Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe), 10 of which are coordinated by our institution. The International Post-Award Unit includes a Project Management Office (PMO) offering support to Principal Investigators from IRSJD and other researchers from Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem in project coordination. Our project manager’s team provides daily scientific, technical and managerial support to Principal Investigators to help them in successfully develop their international projects.
The candidate will be integrated in the PMO and shall be responsible for the effective implementation of the assigned projects ranging from Health to Social field. The person we are looking for must be proactive, responsible, flexible, empathic and service-oriented. He/she should be comfortable working on long-term strategic plans as well as day-to-day project management tasks.
Requirements
* General coordination of European projects.
* Interface between the project coordinator and internal team/partners or external stakeholders, translate coordinator’s decision making toward actions.
* Coordination of day to day internal scientific/technical work according to work plan.
* Coordination of Work package where SJD is leader, organization of meetings, collect state of the art of clinical practice and elaborate required documents.
* Writing guidelines, activity reports and deliverables where SJD is responsible.
* Preparation of agendas and presentations for project meetings and related committees (advisory board, external experts…) participation in meeting, draft minutes, chair meetings.
* Providing guidance to project partners (mitigation plan, ethical issues, work plan…),
* Resolution of conflict, orientation of partners toward work plan, guidance of consortium toward objectives.
* Project quality and risk management (revision of all final document as deliverables, communications, patient related material, exploitation plan….).
* Elaboration of a Data Management Plan. Data management plan follow up when applicable.
* Monitoring of ethical regulatory process and compliance when applicable.
* Gantt chart follow up, management of timeline and deadlines.
* Daily management activities, organization of meetings and events linked to the project, administrative tasks.
* EC Portal monitoring (uploading deliverables, milestones, outputs…).
* Economic follow-up, looking for providers and quotes, support in drafting amendments.
REQUIREMENTS
* PhD or University degree (ideally in health or related psycho-social field, Social Sciences, or Business Administration).
* 1-3 years of experience in a position of Project Manager or coordination of a research European project.
* Good knowledge of main rules and regulations affecting European Projects, familiarity with EU funded projects and project management.
* Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to prioritise and organise project workload and meet time-critical schedules.
* Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thorough attention to detail.
* Leadership, ability to lead and give orientation.
* Ability to write technical and/or scientific content, guidelines, reports.
* Good communication skills, especially ability to negotiate and reach consensus.
* English proficiency. Spanish advanced level.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability and flexibility to liaise with a variety of people.
* Proactivity, and oriented to problem solving.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good numeracy skills with the ability to present and interpret financial reports.
Additional skills of interest:
* Knowledge of transversal issues valued such as ethical/regulatory processes, clinical trials, data management, intellectual property, communication and exploitation issues.
* Full time contract with a trial period of 4 months.
