Job Purpose
Conduct and manage compliance audits and inspections within Vueling's CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) and contracted MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) organisations, according to regulatory requirements and internal company manuals, to ensure regulatory adherence, operational safety, and continuous airworthiness of the fleet.
Main Accountabilities
1. Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with regulatory and company standards, verifying adherence to safety and quality protocols.
2. Ensure thorough and systematic evaluations by following a structured approach tailored to each specific audit or inspection.
3. Gather accurate evidence of compliance or non-compliance with regulations and internal procedures, ensuring comprehensive assessment.
4. Provide clear and actionable feedback to relevant departments, facilitating prompt corrective measures.
5. Confirm that identified issues are resolved effectively, maintaining compliance and preventing recurrence.
6. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of compliance issues, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
7. Contribute to a dynamic and comprehensive audit schedule that addresses emerging risks and compliance requirements.
8. Enhance the overall capability and knowledge within the compliance audit team and related departments, ensuring effective audit practices.
9. Streamline the audit process and provide reliable data for decision-making, improving efficiency and transparency.
10. Ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and compliance across the organisation, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
11. Verify that external maintenance providers are compliant and capable of maintaining airworthiness, safeguarding operational integrity.
12. Communicate audit outcomes effectively, supporting informed decision-making at higher management levels.
13. Promote ongoing enhancements in compliance practices, contributing to the organisation's overall operational excellence.
14. Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee’s hand.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
1. Conduct planned and ad-hoc audits and inspections based on the audit programme presented to the authority.
2. Prepare checklists and audit plans prior to conducting audits and inspections.
3. Perform audits and inspections, both document-based and on-site, following established checklists.
4. Compile and issue detailed audit reports, documenting findings and any non-conformities.
5. Follow up on audit findings, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified.
6. Manage non-conformity records and track the status of corrective and preventive actions.
7. Provide input for the development and revision of the annual audit plan.
8. Deliver training and support to other auditors and relevant staff on audit processes and compliance requirements.
9. Utilise automated systems for audit tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
10. Collaborate with internal departments to address and mitigate identified risks.
11. Conduct supplier audits, ensuring external providers meet regulatory and company standards.
12. Participate in the preparation and presentation of audit findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
13. Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the CAMO.
14. Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.
Main Relationships
1. CAMO team: To ensure internal compliance and manage corrective actions, coordinating efforts to maintain airworthiness.
2. Maintenance and Operations departments: To verify compliance and address any identified issues, supporting continuous operational safety.
3. Training department: To provide necessary training related to audit processes and compliance requirements, enhancing overall competence.
4. Safety department: To collaborate on risk assessments and mitigation strategies, promoting a proactive approach to safety.
5. MRO organisations: To audit and ensure their compliance with regulations and contractual requirements, verifying their capability to maintain fleet airworthiness.
6. Regulatory Authorities (e.g., AESA): To report findings and ensure adherence to national and international standards, maintaining regulatory compliance.
7. Suppliers and Contractors: To conduct audits and ensure they meet Vueling's quality and safety standards, supporting reliable operations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualifications.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years in maintenance or quality assurance roles in aviation is required to ensure familiarity with industry standards and practices.
Competencies
1. In-depth understanding of aviation maintenance regulations.
2. Familiarity with audit processes and quality management systems.
Languages
Proficiency in English.
