About the area
The GSS Management Office is a transversal unit within the Global Sales & Structuring Organizational Structure which helps resource and steer the overall client activity through:
1. Its active engagement in GSS Value Chains and their workstreams.
2. Its close coordination with the rest of GSS transversal units (Structuring, Securities, Client Portfolio Management, e-Connectivity, Marketing, Business Intelligence).
3. Its strong collaboration with other GM Front Office (Management, Trading, QBS), support areas (SBD, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and T&C) and CIB units.
This comprehensive relationship model and transversal positioning allows the GSS Management Office to become a key enabler and ambassador of the GSS strategic agenda at all times: reinforcing team focus, ensuring cross value chain alignment and fostering efficiency at all levels.
About the job: About the role
We are looking for a talented junior candidate to join our GSS Management Office. Main role responsibilities:
1. Collaborate in the definition of the strategic vision and direction of GSS unit.
2. Collaborate to systematically follow the implementation of the strategic agenda, coordinating at all times with the different GM Strategic Plans.
3. Collaborate to drive the strategic mobilization, steering, and performance monitoring of GSS.
4. Collaborate to enhance the governance, organizational setup, and culture of GSS.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 2-4 years of strategic consulting, investment banking, or corporate development experience from tier 1 firms. The professional category will be determined based on candidates’ experience.
2. Strong academic background from top tier Business or Engineering schools.
3. Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking.
4. Committed, rigorous, detail-oriented attitude combined with ability to show initiative and to take decisions.
5. Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.
7. Complete fluency in English is mandatory (fluency in Spanish is not mandatory).
8. Proficiency in the use of Google Suite (Slides, Spreadsheet, etc.).
9. Capable of working under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities.
10. Highest standards of personal conduct, professional performance, and business ethics.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Previous proven experience in a front office capital markets role (sales, structurer, trader, research, quant, or strategy).
2. Progress towards a CFA charter.
