Description -
HP Solutions (HPS) Operations Business Enablement Manager is a critical function in supporting the Lifecycle Services business unit in bringing products and services to market and driving continuous improvement in efficiencies and customer experience. This role requires an experienced people manager with the skill to work collaboratively with Portfolio, Markets, Delivery, IT and other partner orgs to introduce new services, software, products and solutions aligned to the HPS Portfolio strategy.
This leader’s scope will be focused on a Lifecycle Services and will cover:
* NSI & NPI Introduction management
* Launch Process Governance
* Program Execution
* Process Optimization
* Benchmarking
* Effective and agile Program and Project management, Process engineering, testing and e2e operational enablement
* Business operations execution
* Operational triage and root cause analysis
* Continuous process improvement to drive efficiencies and best in class customer experience
* HPS Infrastructure Business requirements gathering, documenting and funnel management
The person in this role applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. He/she is accountable for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. They act as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. The role requires expert ability to plan, manage and monitor high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. This leader holds responsibility of resource management; personnel, finances, prioritization, and supporting the HPS strategic vision in operations.
Responsibilities
* Manages a team of individual contributors and/or first level managers or both
* Manages and evaluates the performance of business metrics related to both products and services, such as time to market, budget management, meeting commitments while also developing recovery plans to address any exceptional issues
* Drives cross organizational leadership alignment in the engagement model and to ensure on-time and effective delivery of projects and programs
* Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall procedures, long-term goals, and strategic plans of the organization, operating within the framework of functional guidelines and ensuring adequate support for proposed projects
* Experienced, effective and trusted with executive communications to the L2 level
* Accountable owner of monthly financial and operating results, isolates and explains key variance items and identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations for maximizing opportunities
* Supervises the team as well as individual performance and monitors the attainment of organizational goals and contractual commitments, encompassing aspects such as budget, cost, service availability, responses, and reports
* Oversees the overall performance of a diverse range of programs, which constitute a significant portion of the total business
* Offers counsel to management and peers on broad organizational, technical, and strategic matters of significance
* Collaborates with leadership as a strategic partner, influencing the future direction of the respective segment and aligning business and functional strategy to generate sustainable, profitable growth
* Applies expert subject matter knowledge, shapes knowledge base across businesses, functions, or regions, and provides strong leadership, driving change initiatives and monitoring performance goals
* Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development
Education and Experience Required
* Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
* Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience, or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in service business management, delivery, solution architecting, business planning, or a related field
* Required: experience in direct management of a team including Principal levels
* Strong preference for candidates with current Agile, PMP, ITIL and/or Safe knowledge/certification.
