From Hays, we are looking for a Staff Front-End Architect reporting to the Head of Digital Transformation. The opportunity is for a global energy sector company specializing in digital technologies for utilities worldwide.
What you will do:
As a Staff UX Engineer in the Digital Solutions department, you will be responsible for all activities related to:
* Collaborating with the product design team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and high-performance user interfaces;
* Overseeing the governance and evolution of the design system, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards;
* Directly participating in the implementation of the product roadmap, ensuring that FE solutions are aligned with business objectives, design definitions, and user needs;
* Coordinating with product managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of UX engineering;
* Conducting code reviews and mentoring other engineers in both front-end development and design systems;
* Ensuring accessibility standards are met in all projects and implementations;
* Defining front-end CI/CD pipelines to optimize development workflows;
* Conducting regular code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and performance;
* Analyzing technical requirements with product teams and incorporating them into UX strategies.
Who you are:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field with:
* Proven experience (4+ years) as a senior-level UX engineer or FE developer;
* Advanced skills in front-end development technologies, including TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Micro frontends;
* Expert knowledge and experience contributing to design systems;
* Expert knowledge of code quality tools and methodologies;
* Understanding of internationalization and localization processes;
* Knowledge of AI tools like GitHub Copilot;
* Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and other platform areas within the company;
* Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.
