Product Management Principal Specialist
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Planning:
* Define and lead product strategy for Service Center and other Guest Facing products.
* Translate the product strategy into a concrete execution plan/ product roadmap to ensure fulfillment of short, mid and long-term business objectives.
* Source and shape priorities from across the organization and target customer base to develop and maintain a product roadmap that delivers continuous business impact and value.
* Proactively communicate with key stakeholders (Sales, Operations, R&D, etc.) and maintain the pulse of the changing customer and industry demands and influence overall commercial strategy for new product enhancements and capabilities.
* Ensure alignment of internal roadmap and priorities with 3rd party partner priorities/roadmap for an aligned execution plan.
* Drive co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define features of the products (MVP and beyond), and prioritize based on effort and expected business value.
Product Development:
* Lead the creation and completeness of business requirements for product development and drives adherence of the requirements through the product development process ensuring delivery in line with client and market commitments.
* Leads the balance of business needs with technology assessments and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed.
* Controls and coordinates priorities given to products, projects and developments and secures deliveries to meet business targets.
* Partners with engineering to drive technical projects and provide leadership in an Agile development process, setting scope, and ensuring effective prioritization of features & stories, managing daily progress, and defining acceptance criteria.
* Communicates the product vision to ensure product delivery is aligned with strategy.
* Runs regular leadership updates and build consensus in Enterprise Platform investment decision making.
* Partner with UI/UX team to create optimal experiences for the products.
* Define and capture KPIs to measure the impact of features and capabilities.
* Conduct A/B testing on features/capabilities in order to further optimize the experiences and drive higher conversions.
Go To Market Enablement:
Lead cross-functional teams to drive value of delivered product capabilities including:
* Effective communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts.
* Supporting organization wide product training and enablement, contributing to the articulation of product value propositions, go to market strategy, pricing and impact to messaging for delivering products/services.
* Responsible for new product and releases adequate documentation required for implementation and support of a new products and features.
About the Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 7 years experience in Product Management; ideally in hotel reservation and distribution management.
* Minimum 7 years experience in leading a product, project, or technology initiatives.
* Experience with 0-1 product development and launch.
* Experience with Salesforce platform a plus.
* Strong API and connectivity knowledge.
* Experience defining product vision and roadmaps for digital products.
* Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, and other product and project management tools.
