Research team : We are an interdisciplinary group devoted to Translational Research using Nanomedicine and Tissue Engineering as therapeutic and diagnostic strategies in liver diseases, within the frame of a consolidated research group: ( ).
Research project : Novel therapeutic tools for liver diseases: Nanoparticles and 3D-Bioprinted liver organoids.
Required Profile, qualifications, and expertise:
• Enthusiastic person with strong interest in Science and commitment to develop a PhD (4-5 years) developing new tools for liver diseases (Cirrhosis and Cancer).
• Accredited SPANISH certificate for the use of laboratory animals for research purposes will be very valued.
• Bachelor and Master Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biology or related disciplines) and a good academic and/or scientific publications record.
• Bachelor’s degree AVERAGE of ≈8.5 or higher will be valued to apply to FI and FPU Fellowships among others.
• Expertise in cell cultures, animal handling, nanoparticle synthesis, molecular biology, 3D image analysis, 3D Bioprinting, 3D software (Rhino3D, Solidworks, CAD, etc) generation and analysis of .STL 3D images, tissue slicing and immunostaining are valued. Expertise in iPSCs, cell isolation, 3D cell culture organoids, RNA isolation and PCR will be valued.
• Short stays in International Research Centers will be valued.
• Required languages: NATIVE OR FLUENT Spanish, and English level. Solid communication and writing skills in English.
Starting date : December 2024
Payment : PhD Student contract from 1 to 2 years within the salary standards until obtaining a PhD Fellowship (FI, FPU, FPI, etc) to complete a PhD in Biomedicine.
