Our client is Esteve Química, a leading pharmaceutical company in the health sector in Spain, with a clear international focus that leverages research and strategic alliances as growth drivers. With headquarters and an R&D center in Barcelona, our client has production plants in Celrà, Lliçà de Vall, and Banyeres del Penedés.
We are looking for a Production Specialist in Spray Drying Technology for the production plant located in Celrà.
MISSION: Reporting to the Spray Drying Manager, you will work closely with other team members, including those in Project Management, R&D, Analytical Development, Engineering, Logistics, and regulatory experts. This role will lead the full development of spray drying technologies, including development, technology transfer, process optimization, and scaling up.
Roles:
* Drive innovation in spray drying technology, ensuring scalability and robustness.
* Become organization’s subject matter expert for spray drying, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Design and optimize processes to achieve excellence in quality, efficiency, and compliance.
* Address and troubleshoot complex technical challenges, leveraging your expertise.
* Oversee projects from R&D through to commercial-scale manufacturing, delivering milestones on time and in full.
* Lead the tech transfer of spray drying processes ensuring smooth scale up and plant suitability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Analytical, Engineering, and regulatory experts.
* Ensure full compliance with GMP and regulatory standards throughout development and manufacturing.
* Support the preparation of technical documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
Professional experience and specialized knowledge:
* A degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. Operational Excellence knowledge is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in spray drying technology, from development to commercial manufacturing.
* Strong experience in tech transfer and managing large-scale projects.
* Proven experience in collaboration with external clients.
* Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards specific to drug product.
* Influential skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
