JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Communication Officer specialising in digital channels and design to join the Communication Unit at IGTP and CMCiB, both located on the same work campus.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
External communication:
1. Developing and executing a communication strategy for social media.
2. Producing and updating digital content for existing and new platforms.
3. Supervising and interacting with follower comments in the digital environment.
4. Analysing the performance of digital media strategies and presenting impact reports.
5. Acting as the webmaster for IGTP and CMCiB websites, keeping content updated in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
6. Advising and supporting researchers needing to create websites or social media accounts for their projects.
7. Coordinating efforts to meet the general communication needs of IGTP and the specific needs of CMCiB.
8. Supporting CMCiB in interactions with clients and their communication and marketing departments to identify success stories and create and disseminate content in various formats and media.
9. Assisting in the creation and distribution of satisfaction surveys for internal and external clients.
10. Proposing new outreach and education activities and fostering collaborations that promote scientific education.
Internal communication:
1. Supporting the execution of the IGTP intranet project.
Design:
1. Creating visual materials for digital media, mailings, signage, recruitment campaigns, events, etc.
2. Developing impactful institutional presentations.
Other tasks:
1. Supporting other activities of the Communication Unit, such as drafting news articles, managing outreach activities, internal communication, videos, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
1. A degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field, with an interest in biomedicine and science.
2. At least two years of prior experience in similar tasks.
3. Advanced knowledge of social media management.
4. Expertise in SEO, optimisation, and search engine positioning.
5. Proficiency in design, including the use of free and paid design tools (submission of examples is recommended).
6. Creativity and the ability to develop original content and transform abstract and complex ideas into accessible designs.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Familiarity with content creation tools.
9. Language proficiency: oral and written Catalan and English (minimum level C1).
Additional considerations:
1. Motivation, creativity, initiative, and a proactive attitude.
2. Adaptability to work on two different but related projects, part-time on each.
3. Strongly valued: ability to understand scientific texts, interest in science, social media, and new technologies; team collaboration skills; and versatility.

3. The gross annual remuneration associated with the position in this call will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills, and will be distributed in 12 payments.

About us
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
