Sales and Events Operations Manager

This is an opportunity to join our client's Luxury Lifestyle 5* Hotel in Barcelona as a Deputy Sales Director. Reporting to the Commercial Director, your mission will be to lead the team by generating budgeted top line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through a successful revenue management strategy.
You will oversee the Sales and Events Department and develop team action plans, forecasting and evaluating trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing sales action plans for the group, corporate, leisure, and catering segments.
* Leading and mentoring group/events sales managers, identifying opportunities for improvement and assisting in their development.
* Analyzing forecast, cost, and revenue reports and making sales strategy decisions based on that information to ensure hotel's RevPAR and good positioning within the comp set.
* Organizing and participating in fam trips, planning and attending sales blitzes/missions for the hotel group in key markets.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in HOTEL Sales Roles, with at least 3 years as a senior manager (with direct teams) or ADOS within the hospitality industry.
* Excellent spoken and written communications skills in Spanish and English; Catalan is a plus.
* Good understanding and experience of group, corporate, leisure, and event markets and previous work experience in the luxury lifestyle market.
