Job Purpose
Analyse, update and maintain the flight operations manuals for both crew and office personnel according to regulatory requirements and internal procedural changes to ensure compliance, safety, and efficient flight operations.
Main Accountabilities
* Ensure that all manuals reflect the latest aircraft data and operational information, which is essential for accurate flight calculations and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain accurate and current documentation by integrating inputs from departments such as weight and balance, systems, and maintenance.
* Incorporate new regulations into manuals promptly, ensuring the company remains in compliance with all legal and safety requirements.
* Keep manuals up-to-date with regular updates, ensuring no outdated information is present, thus maintaining operational integrity.
* Identify and address any cross-departmental impacts of changes to procedures or manuals, ensuring all relevant areas are updated accordingly.
* Maintain an accurate and accessible database of all flight operations documents and manuals, facilitating easy access and reference.
* Ensure all manual updates are reviewed and approved by compliance and safety teams before implementation, maintaining high safety and regulatory standards.
* Maintain version control and a comprehensive record of all changes made to manuals, ensuring traceability and accountability for all document updates.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
* Update operational information in manuals.
* Coordinate with various departments for manual updates.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
* Manage routine manual updates and business-as-usual tasks.
* Conduct impact analysis of proposed changes.
* Manage the documentation library.
* Coordinate with compliance and safety teams.
* Document and track changes meticulously.
* Any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.
Main Relationships
* Compliance and Safety Teams: To ensure all updates are compliant with regulations and safety standards.
* Operations Control (OC) and Ground Operations: To incorporate updates affecting operational procedures and ensure smooth ground operations.
* Training Department: To update training manuals and materials, ensuring training programs are current.
* External Document Management Providers: To manage issues and updates with the document management system, ensuring continuous functionality.
* Flight Operations Departments: To gather and validate changes to manuals, ensuring all operational aspects are accurately documented.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related field, is essential for understanding the technical and regulatory aspects of flight operations and documentation.
* Aviation regulations and standards, with in-depth understanding of European and international aviation regulations, such as those from EASA, which govern flight operations and documentation.
* Flight operations manuals and documentation procedures, with familiarity with the structure, content, and purpose of flight operations manuals, including the processes for updating and maintaining them.
* Document management systems and version control processes, with proficiency in using digital document management systems to ensure accurate version control and easy retrieval of documents.
* Familiarity with processes for ensuring and documenting compliance with aviation regulations, including submitting updates to authorities like EASA.
Experience
* Planning and managerial capabilities (required).
* Advanced knowledge of Office tools (required).
* Technical documentation writing capabilities (required).
* High communication skills and proactivity (required).
Languages
* C1 in Spanish.
