In order to strengthen our Medical Affairs Department in Iberia, we are currently hiring a
(Permanent / Fulltime / Location: Spain - ideally Madrid)
The Opportunity:
The Medical Affairs Department is in need of additional resources to manage training sessions and promotional activities, to liaise with growing KOLs within the therapy areas, and to build the road to new therapeutic approaches (i.e., gene therapy and extended half-life replacement therapies for congenital bleeding, POB goal-directed therapy for specific coagulation factor concentrates, self-administration, market penetration of IGs in new medical segments – secondary deficiencies, inflammatory neuropathies - for the IGs), and the growth & introduction in rare disease areas such as HAE and Alpha 1 Antitrypsin deficiency.
You are responsible for generating opportunities and resources to achieve scientific and commercial objectives for the therapy areas under your responsibility, with a focus in the gene therapy program. Partner with the sales force to help achieve revenue and profit targets and to enhance CSL Behring's position and reputation in the market. Scientific liaison with customers and with appropriate authorities when required, as well as within CSL Behring.
Your Responsibilities:
1. You provide field-based medical support to the sales force.
2. You gather and share relevant information on current treatment practices, barriers to change, and customers' preferences for therapies.
3. You contribute to load the 'Veeva' CRM system with useful information on field work, facilitating the customer segmentation in the therapeutic areas under your responsibility.
4. Under general direction, build relationships and demonstrate the clinical outcome and benefits of CSL products to key opinion leaders and practice leaders.
5. You will build and develop scientific networks with key customers and organize expert meetings to ensure the company's positioning is well known within its customer group.
6. You develop a strong scientific network of key customers to enable expert meetings as a way to ensure the continuous development of the company's image.
7. You will identify, initiate, implement, and contribute to clinical projects (phase IV, PMS, RWE and/or pharmaco-economic/epidemiological studies, whether IIT or CIT driven).
8. You will manage targeted hospital physicians and pharmacists with medical information services that facilitate sales development of existing products and new launches.
9. You will support and collaborate in the preparation, organization, and update of the training programs for the franchises under your responsibility.
10. You assure the correct sharing of knowledge within CSL Behring and support the strategic planning processes, including preparation of evidence-based argumentation for successful launch programs.
Your Qualifications:
1. Scientific University Degree. MBA or commercial specific training would be an advantage.
2. Ideally 3+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, or a related position; with specific know-how on clinical development, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance.
3. Prior experience providing MSL level support to products in specific therapeutic areas would be an asset.
