Job Description
The Technical Artist is a support role inside the Rainbow Six team, working closely with the other Technical Artists and 3D / Texture / Concept / Character Artists, to help with asset and pipeline optimizations, tool development and Technical Setup & Validations. The teams at Ubisoft Barcelona are working as a co-developer with the Lead Studio in Montreal, contributing a range of game features and live content.
Responsibilities
* Assist the team in any technical issue related with the art pipeline
* Become the Go-To person for engine art related topics
* Prepare the Technical Setup along with proper documentation
* Perform Technical Validation of the assets produced by the team ensuring it meets the technical requirements
* Creation and maintenance of tools for the team
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of art related software, such as Photoshop, 3DsMax, Blender, Substance package.
* Experience with commercial game engines, such as Unity or Unreal
* C# Scripting Skills. XAML or tool development experience is a plus.
* Self-organized, used to work with Jira, Trello or similar.
* Proactive and problem solver.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and great verbal and written communication skills in English
* 2-3 years of previous experience working in a Studio or within videogames projects.
