As a Global Sales Strategist, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our client's sun protection fabrics division. Our client is a renowned global leader in fabric manufacturing, headquartered in Barcelona and serving clients worldwide with innovative, high-quality solutions.
About the Role
This senior position involves developing and executing sales strategies aimed at increasing market share and meeting annual revenue targets. You will work closely with our commercial team, coordinating efforts with distributors and agents to establish a robust network that serves key clients effectively.
Main Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and present comprehensive annual sales plans to the Deputy General Manager for approval.
* Team Coordination: Collaborate with a team of five sales representatives to set goals and tasks for distributors and agents, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
* Client & Agent Network: Build and maintain a structured agent network to serve and expand key client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
* Sales Team Oversight: Monitor travel schedules and client visits, ensuring that 50% of the sales team's time is dedicated to client interactions, resulting in increased sales performance and customer engagement.
* Performance Management: Provide regular feedback to the sales team, with bi-weekly progress updates to track and improve performance, aligning with company objectives.
* Market Leadership: Take ownership of the French market, driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships through strategic initiatives and targeted marketing campaigns.
* Customer Relations: Visit key clients for one week each month, utilizing this opportunity to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities, while maintaining a presence in the Barcelona office to oversee operations and support the sales team.
In order to succeed in this role, you will require a proven track record of success as an Export Director or similar leadership position, ideally within the sun protection or related industries. Proficiency in English is essential, with fluency in French being highly valued. Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is also crucial for managing client interactions, sales performance, and conducting market analysis. The ability to travel frequently, at least one week per month for client visits, is a requirement for this position.
