The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Android engineer to deliver clinically validated, regulatory-grade digital health products and solutions in preventive care using Bio-Wearables.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable and high-performing mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications and libraries.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Evaluate application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
* Identify and correct performance bottlenecks and fix bugs.
* Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in Android development.
* Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
* Strong understanding of Android SDK, NDK, and JNI layers.
* Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL to connect Android applications to back-end services.
* Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, Jetpack Compose, and best practices.
* Experience with multithreading optimization and performance tuning.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bluetooth stack experience.
* Experience delivering native libraries or SDKs.
* Experience with Healthcare or regulated app development.
* Familiarity with continuous integration.
* Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects on GitHub.
