Accounting & Reporting General Ledger has the responsibility of the P&L and BS of the country/ies assigned.
The main tasks will be: Month End closing, Year ends closing, BS account reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Tax and reporting to Corporate.
Core Objectives
* Prepare journals as necessary during the month in liaison with country Business Analyst and Controllers
* Prepare and report P&L and BS according to IFRS standards
* Analyse and comment on P&L and BS main variations against budget
* Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items
* Review requests for accruals against existing policy, generate accrual
* Compile periodic reports / Management information
* Respond to Local Management and Controller queries in a professional and accurate manner
* Monitor GL check list and complete
* Create a positive working culture within the GL team that encourages open communication and continuous learning and improvement
* Propose improvements projects to implement optimized processes in the GL team
* Responsible for the Month end Closing tasks, reviewing the P&L and BS
* Report to the SSC Accounting and Reporting Manager and SSC Manager
Requirements
* Accounting & Finance background
* Experience, preferably 2-3 years experience of working within a finance SSC GL function, Accounting manager or similar
* Knowledge of US GAAP principles
* Experience of working with a US corporate
* Fluent English & Spanish required
* Other European languages would be a plus (German or Dutch)
* Knowledge of SAP is required
* MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Power BI)
