Job Description
LONGCHAMP'S HISTORY
Longchamp is a private French luxury leather goods company, founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain. Cassegrain produced the world's first luxury leather-covered pipes, later expanding its business to small leather goods, such as wallets and passport covers. Longchamp released its first bag in 1971, becoming one of France's leading leather goods manufacturers. The company's great achievement came with the use of nylon. In the 1970s, Longchamp was a pioneer in creating a lightweight luggage collection in leather and nylon fabric. This innovation led the company to design bags that would be the emblem of the brand throughout the world: "Le Pliage". Currently, the company designs and manufactures a wide range of luxury items, including leather and fabric handbags, luggage, shoes, travel items, fashion accessories, and a line of designer ready-to-wear clothing. Moreover, we are present in 80 countries through some 1,500 retail outlets and with more than 3,000 employees.
