About this role:
Gartner's Business Development teams play a critical role in expanding our presence across the global market.
Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by building trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their priorities and deliver value through industry insights.
They drive the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closure and transition of new accounts to the account management team.
Our Business Development teams are relentless about building trust-based relationships with clients, delivering long-term value, and growing their book of business over time.
While driven for results, they collaborate with account management teams to hand off business and ensure exceptional client experiences.
Business Development Executives will be given a territory of Large-Enterprise prospects, which may include new organizations or existing Gartner clients within other areas.
Clients in this segment have annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Seek out and drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across your territory, from initial outreach to close.
* Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation, through to client transition.
* Build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPIs.
* Manage complex high-revenue sales across diverse business environments.
* Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex sales environments.
* Business development or new-client acquisition experience is highly desirable.
* Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
* A proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to precisely manage and forecast complex sales processes.
* Willingness to conduct travel as needed.
