About The Role
The Data Responsibility Program is built on three essential pillars: Personal Information Privacy, Data Protection, and Data Security. We collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Team, leveraging their critical activities, and the Business Integrity Team, especially the Data Protection Lead, who offers vital legal support. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of the Data Responsibility Program, contributing to the continuous development of processes and technical controls to identify, classify, securely handle, retain, and dispose of data.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
In this role, the ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed with precision and accuracy. They will be a quick and curious learner, adept at grasping new technical and legal concepts. With technical proficiency across various tools and platforms, they will excel in problem-solving skills, finding pragmatic solutions to knotty organizational challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
* Program Growth: Support the continued growth and development of the Data Responsibility program.
* Privacy UX: Assist in maturing the privacy user experience, ensuring that public-facing and Primo-facing sites are compliant and user-friendly.
* Data Protection Initiatives: Help evolve data protection initiatives to discover, classify, catalogue, and protect personal and commercially sensitive information.
* Project and Change Management: Assist with project management and change management tasks related to data responsibility initiatives.
* Risk Assessments and Record Keeping: Support the team in performing activity risk assessments and maintaining records of processing.
* Data Analysis: Perform deep analysis of data to identify predominant topics and trends.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and tech stakeholders to understand their ways of working with data, with the aim of improving business efficiency.
* Efficiency Improvement: Spot opportunities to improve efficiency and automation within the organisation.
* Technology Advancement: Help prepare the business to take appropriate advantage of advancing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
Critical Experiences for Success
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar work within TECH.
* Evidence and strong analytics aptitude and capability.
* Evidence of independent thinking and working.
* Track record of strong task delivery.
* Comfortable engaging with other key business stakeholders across TECH, Business and 3rd Party partners.
