This position is part of the Novanta Robotics and Automation team, which includes the Celera Motion and ATI Industrial Automation product portfolios.
Celera Motion’s precision component and subsystem solutions solve application-specific challenges for technology-driven original equipment manufacturers from a range of markets, including surgical robotics, semiconductors and warehouse automation/humanoids.
ATI Industrial Automation is a leading developer of robotic accessories and robot arm tooling – including automatic tool changers and Force/Torque sensors – used in various industries to enhance robotic productivity and efficiency.
Summary
As EMEA Director of Sales, you'll lead a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets, in EU, UK and India. You will develop and implement strategic sales plans, identify and pursue new business opportunities. You’ll contribute to the strategic planning process, setting objectives, making critical decisions, and fostering team success.
Responsibilities
1. Leading and managing a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed targets.
2. Developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets while anticipating and resolving roadblocks and building relationships.
3. Leading sales funnel reviews, win-loss analysis, and implementing best practices to drive sales growth.
4. Providing timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to executive management.
5. Implementing best practices, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.
6. Maximizing sales effectiveness and managing functions essential to productivity while driving operational rigor and continuous improvement around the team, their pipeline and pipeline management, process, methodology, forecasting, sales tools, go-to-market actions and sales metric reporting and monitoring.
7. Driving accountability for reps to maintain database of clients, continual lead generation, key market contacts, targeted accounts and opportunities.
8. Utilizing a data-driven approach to make decisions in collaboration with executive leadership to set a clear strategy and operating plan for our sales team to hit revenue goals.
9. Collaborating with the marketing and product management teams to create training, sales messaging, and content for sales presentations, product sheets, case studies, etc. that differentiate our value proposition for stakeholders across our industry.
Requirements
1. 10 years’ sales experience including several years leading sales teams.
2. Experience selling engineered components to robotics manufacturers.
3. Channel / Distributor management experience.
4. Experience managing inside/outside sales teams.
5. Strong preference for an Academy sales background.
6. Be able to demonstrate a track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
7. Collaborate cross-functionally to assure we are "seeing" all opportunities in identified regions, markets and customer applications.
8. Be able to develop, engage, and retain best in class sales talent.
9. Bring extensive and meaningful customer and product experience that demonstrates proficiency in sales leadership.
