RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participates in the programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owner’s project requirements. Influence on solution to drive.
2. Understand the codes and ordinances local to the opportunity/project.
3. Revise and create cooling system designs during tendering stages, guiding Solutions to develop appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the estimating team to assemble cost for the proposal.
4. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
5. Prepare and update templates for easy quotation of control/monitoring systems.
6. Support by revising and designing R&D (Offer Creation) projects to develop cooling systems within Schneider Electric portfolio as well as 3rd party vendors portfolio.
7. Participate in new base design projects to bring field and production lessons learned to design out the issues as feasible in the project.
8. Prepare all cooling systems engineering documentation for project engineers and subcontractors within the scheduled delivery time.
9. Design cooling topologies, cooling schemes, cooling load, cooling configuration and airflow validation & CFDs as required.
10. Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
11. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
1. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
2. Attend new products trainings and events to improve knowledge and capabilities.
3. Prepare and schedule trainings as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) to other engineers.
4. Social media, internal networking, ability to work in international environment. Teamwork skills.
5. InfraStruxure software selection & application. (SE internal software).
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Participate in Offer Safety related meetings.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
1. Minimum 5 years in the design, application engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years on cooling design for Data Centers is desirable.
3. Good English speaking, written and verbal skills.
4. Good capability to work in a Multi Discipline Engineering team.
5. Good knowledge of Schneider portfolio.
6. Good capability to work with Microsoft tools, REVIT, CAD and any CFD software that might be usable to validate cooling complex solutions such as Autodesk CFD, Flowvent, or others.
