Our client, a German company provider of medical diagnostic services in Europe with a strong global presence in over 40 countries, is currently seeking a SOC Manager.
What you'll do:
As a SOC Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading a team focused on maintaining the highest level of security within the organisation. Your expertise will guide the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents. You will ensure continuous monitoring of security events while developing strategies for improvement. Your leadership skills will be crucial in managing the SOC team as well as collaborating with other IT and business units. Your strategic thinking will drive the development of SOC strategies enhancing our client's overall security operations.
* Lead and manage the SOC team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
* Oversee the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents and threats.
* Ensure continuous monitoring of security events and develop strategies for improvement.
* Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and regulations, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
* Work closely with other IT and business units to enhance the organisation's overall security posture.
* Develop and implement SOC strategies and processes to enhance the effectiveness of security operations.
* Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of security tools and technologies.
* Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, and integrate threat intelligence into SOC operations.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this SOC Manager role brings a wealth of experience in IT security along with proven leadership skills. You possess a strong technical background with proficiency in various security technologies. Your analytical abilities enable you to tackle complex security issues effectively. With your experience in managing international projects, you are comfortable working in a global context. Even if you do not hold a formal degree but have extensive hands-on experience in cybersecurity, we encourage you to apply.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CGIAC) are preferred.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in IT security, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
* Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
* Ability to analyse complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
* Experience in managing international security projects and initiatives.
