Job Description: Chef de Partie
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team. The ideal candidate will uphold restaurant standards, be responsive to the instructions of the Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining the quality, consistency, and presentation of all food prepared and served, following standard recipes.
2. Supervise kitchen associates and take corrective actions as needed.
3. Help set up daily shift schedules in accordance with staffing guides and productivity requirements.
4. Monitor food consumption and wastage to maintain portion control and minimize waste.
5. Communicate effectively with F&B Service and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
6. Perform cleaning tasks using standard products to adhere to health standards.
7. Ensure all kitchen staff observe health, hygiene, and food handling practices.
8. Handle guest complaints to ensure satisfaction, always considering the restaurant's interests.
9. Train and develop kitchen staff to optimize productivity.
10. Conduct daily shift briefings in the absence of senior management.
11. Present innovative ideas to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
12. Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
13. Arrive on time, fully uniformed, with necessary tools and equipment.
14. Understand and demonstrate departmental and restaurant policies and procedures.
15. Perform additional duties such as cleaning spills or following up on guest requests.
16. Ensure familiarity with fire, evacuation, health, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of three to five years of experience in kitchen operations within a quality-rated hotel, resort, or restaurant.
* Certificates in international cooking; Western cuisine knowledge is a plus.
* Proficiency in Spanish; English is advantageous.
* Basic computer skills.
* Excellent leadership and customer relation skills.
* Extensive knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
