We are looking for a talented individual to fill a position of Mechanical R&D Engineer in our team who will be responsible for the development of machinery for the different sectors of activity within Vanderlande (Airport, Warehousing, Parcel).

As Mechanical R&D Engineer, your main responsibility will be designing, developing, and managing the products and projects assigned to you, ensuring the quality, the environment, and the safety standards in all processes.
Specific responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
1. Create efficient designs, adapted to client's needs with pre-established requirements;
2. Improve products already manufactured in order to enhance quality and characteristics through new knowledge and know-how;
3. Coordinate project development phases and manage all necessary documentation such as calculations and market studies;
4. Evaluate, control and participate in the resolution of problems, finding solutions to face limitations in production or use of the product;
5. Perform tests or simulations on prototypes before proceeding to production, analyzing their operation and effectiveness;
6. Prepare documentation associated with the machine during and after project completion, for internal use and to deliver to the client as reference support;
7. Apply standards and directives of machines according to compliance with laws and ISO's, ensuring safety and quality of the product.
Your profile
1. Work location in Santpedor;
2. University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;
3. At least 5 years experience with the design of machinery for the logistics sector or similar;
4. Advanced knowledge of Solidworks (Design and Simulation);
5. Automation experience;
6. Fluent in English and Spanish (Catalan is nice to have);
7. Good knowledge of Office programs;
8. Willing to travel;
9. Car and driver license to travel to our factory 1h away from the office when needed;
10. Enovia knowledge (nice to have).

2. Recognized for your organizational abilities and for being result-oriented;
3. Good communication and project management skills.
