Based in our Barcelona Studio, join the talented team in Montréal and embark on a unique gaming adventure! We are looking for a passionate Senior Character Artist to bring their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons PC/Console video game project. This innovative project blends Action-RPG/Survival mechanics with the unique elements of life simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imagination of gamers around the world.
Role Description
* Create (Sculpt, Model, UV, texture, and create materials) high-quality characters and creatures.
* Deliver excellent translations of characters while considering game design constraints and respecting a strong artistic direction.
* Work closely with the Lead 3D Character Artist to ensure the visual target is always exceeded and stylistically consistent.
* Coordinate with tools and technology teams to develop necessary solutions for creating the best characters possible.
* Review assets to make certain that they satisfy their intended design and are ready for rigging and animation.
* Collaborate with other disciplines such as Design, Concept Art, Animation, Tech Art, and VFX to ensure that characters are fully realized.
* Verify the quality of assets in the game, and make improvements where necessary to fit technical constraints, performance targets, and artistic direction.
* Ensure the timely completion of assets on style and at the desired quality bar.
* Mentor Intermediate and Junior 3D Character Artists by providing guidance and feedback.
