Our opportunity
The Associate Director Investment Data Manager is responsible for supporting and overseeing the governance, processing, and distribution of all financial/investment related master data/pricing, as well as supporting independent asset valuations for Zurich’s global investments according to globally defined standards and processes. The Data Solutions team plays an important role in transforming data into business value, which supports business strategies and decision-making. This role also requires demonstrating a strong shareholder-value oriented mindset and being client-focused while providing coaching to more junior team members.
Your role
As an Associate Director Investment Data Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Conducting daily operational and closing tasks in terms of pricing and reference data setup and maintenance, ensuring data accuracy and consistency on the system/platform by following the defined global standards.
* Executing all predefined global (and group) requirements regarding reference data/pricing and conducting Global Data Governance & Control Framework (GCF) as assigned.
* Ensuring compliance with Zurich’s governance and risk frameworks (e.g., Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX), Risk and Control Engine (RACE), etc.)
* Supporting and conducting audit relevant tasks.
* Supporting and designing improvements/automation on all existing processes, especially those manual processes and/or with high-risk areas (i.e., high probability, high severity).
* Proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of data quality, integrity, and consistency in the data supply chain.
* Working with local/regional stakeholders to identify country-specific requirements, special data treatment, or any other local demands which must be met together with the team.
* Collaborating and supporting Change Management/Project Team on assigned initiatives.
* Ensuring continuous know-how and information exchange between the Regional Team and other global team members in terms of processes, incidents, documentation, or other open topics ensuring transparency.
Your Skills and Experience
As an Associate Director Investment Data Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* University Degree in Economics or Finance related field.
* Professional experience within the Financial Markets industry is required, preferably within a Middle or Back-office function.
* Familiarity with terminal products of Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or similar data vendors.
* Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional financial instruments and markets including structured securities, ABS/MBS, index-linked bonds, syndicated loans, private debt, etc., preferred.
* Experience in Data Management within an Investment Operations department desirable.
* Experience with computer programming languages (Python, Pyspark, SparkSQL, etc.) is a plus.
