Staff Data Engineer | Up to 80K | Hybrid
We’re seeking a Staff Data Engineer willing to play a key role in a pioneering company in the Marketing sector that combines technology, AI, and creative strategies to deliver cutting-edge web design, SEO, social media management, and digital analytics solutions.
* Salary: Up to 80K (negotiable according to profile)
* ETL/ELT Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
* Data Modeling & Storage: Implement scalable data models and storage solutions to support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives.
* Data Integration & Automation: Integrate third-party and internal data sources into centralized platforms and automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency.
* Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver timely, accurate data solutions.
* Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing systems for improved concurrency, query performance, and storage efficiency.
* Advanced Data Analytics: Collaborate with data science teams to implement analytical data pipelines.
* 5+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale data systems, including ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data warehousing.
* Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL knowledge for data manipulation and analysis.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, including services such as AWS Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Data Lake.
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or other distributed computing frameworks.
* Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) and expertise in data modeling for optimal performance.
* Competence in data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Luigi.
* Strong understanding of data storage solutions, including data lakes and data warehouses.
