Mission
This role will provide medical and scientific expertise, as well as operational projects leadership, in alignment with Grifols' business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Support developing and executing Medical Affairs business plans for designated therapeutic areas and regions, ensuring alignment with Grifols' strategies.
* Act as a scientific expert for local support in countries as needed.
* Ensure effective communication and collaboration with other departments (local/regional Marketing and Sales, Market Access, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, etc.).
* Prepare regular project management reports on regional MA activities and provide KPIs transversally.
* Support developing and managing regional budgets.
* Facilitate interactions with colleagues within Medical Affairs in different sites.
* Review promotional materials when needed.
* Handle medical inquiries when needed.
* Liaise with key opinion leaders, patient groups, steering committees, scientific societies, investigators, healthcare professionals, and external groups as required to effectively represent the company on all relevant medical affairs issues.
Work Interactions
* This position reports to the head of EU Medical Affairs Biopharma to ensure support to local and regional teams and act as a medical advisor in countries where there is no MA local HC, as well as to help ensure alignment in operations taking place in Europe.
* Global Medical Affairs leadership team and other MA and commercial regional teams.
* This position will interface with multiple cross-functional departments in the company.
* This position may interface with physicians, experts in the field, medical society leaders, patient advocacy leaders, reimbursement authorities, and external customers as required.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Pharmacy. PhD, with advanced knowledge in Immunology/Neurology, Hematology, and/or Pulmonology preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a similar position.
* Solid knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with the highest ethical standards.
* Advanced communication and relationship building skills.
* Ability to work transversally with tools and tracking sheets.
* Good English language skills (spoken and written), other EU languages a plus.
* Computer skills, Project management qualifications or experience a plus.
* Availability to travel when needed.
