Job Description
Oak House School is a private, co-educational school located in Sarrià, north of Barcelona. The school has a population of over 1100 students and offers a British curriculum.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school library and providing support to students and staff. Key responsibilities include:
* Information Literacy Instruction: teaching students how to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively and efficiently, including artificial intelligence.
* Library Management: maintaining the library's collection, including cataloging, labeling, covering, shelving, and organizing the physical space.
* Literacy Promotion: encouraging a love of reading through book talks, book clubs, and other literacy activities.
* Digital Support: reviewing and updating the digital library and student websites on a termly basis.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor's degree or teaching degree, Librarian certification and classroom teacher certification. They should also have recent librarian experience in a comparable school and excellent communication skills in English.
