Job Description
What you’ll do
1. Support the sales team in driving group sales revenue by identifying and securing group bookings at SLS Barcelona.
2. Provide account management for new and existing accounts and work with other sales team members to meet and exceed monthly revenue goals.
3. Identify and qualify potential leads through research and following the hotel sales strategy and goals.
4. Create and maintain customer relationships to achieve optimum market share, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
5. Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our hotel’s facilities, services, and offerings to prospective clients.
6. Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with clients while ensuring alignment with hotel policies and revenue objectives.
7. Work closely with the events, catering, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and exceptional guest experiences.
8. Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast sales revenue accurately and provide regular reports and updates to the Director of Group Sales.
9. Manage the group sales budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI.
10. Demonstrate knowledge of Delphi and Opera, keeping updated information on each booking and its status.
11. Provide guidance and support to the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
1. At least two years of experience in hotel sales or equivalent industry experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3. Valuable knowledge of sales skills and the ability to understand customer requirements and translate these into sales solutions.
4. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing long-term relationships and contacts.
5. Experience managing luxury brands.
6. Strong organizational skills including follow-up, time management, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in Spanish and English (fluency in additional languages is a bonus).
8. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
9. Proficient in Windows Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and able to utilize traditional software programs such as Delphi and Opera.
10. Strong work ethic and self-starter who is a team player with a can-do attitude.
11. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to present oneself professionally.
