We are currently recruiting a Senior Wind Business Development Engineer to work with and strengthen our Business Development team based in Seville’s office.
Responsibilities
* Land searching to locate renewable energy projects (especially wind) in some cases with the support of external brokers.
* Carry out conceptual technical design of wind plants in order to estimate (in a very first step) the feasibility.
* Carry out basic financial models that allow analyzing opportunities related to own or third parties projects under development.
* Monitoring of activities to be carried out by development companies contracted by Atlantica.
* Negotiation and closing of agreements with third parties (development services, investment/partnership agreements, MoU, land, etc.).
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in any Engineering or other related field.
* Desirable master or post graduate studies in Energy subjects.
* Excellent English language skills (written and speaking) C1 level is a must.

* Orientation to actions and results. Enthusiastic, constant, and disciplined person.
* Collaborative and inclusive mindset.
* Experience in negotiating and closing of different collaboration agreements: development service agreements, partner/investment agreements, agreements with engineering or EPC contractors, etc.
* Knowledge of electricity sector regulation and permitting processes for power generation plants (especially wind) as well as standalone battery storage systems.
* Basic knowledge of green hydrogen and biogas regulation.
* Medium knowledge in PV, but especially Wind technical design, being able to estimate economical key inputs in the financial model (capex, opex, etc.).
* Medium/high knowledge of finance and project profitability analysis.
Technical Qualifications
* Experience of at least 3-5 years as a Business Developer for Renewable Energy or similar.
* Autocad, production forecast computer tools (especially for wind, like WindPro, Openwind, Global Wind Atlas, MIERRA2, ERA5, etc.).
* Experience in power generation sector.
