Job description:
The GRAM research grou p at the Institute for Multiling ualism is looking for a senior researcher in the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA). The candidate will be involved in leading SLA research in different learning contexts and will create synergies with other members of the GRAM group. The applicant will be expected to apply for national and international research grants to self-fund the research carried at the Institute for Multilingualism.

* A 3-year tenure-track position, which will become permanent depending on the evaluation and objectives achieved. The resulting academic rank depends on the experience and prestige of the candidate.
* A reduced teaching load dependent on the publication record and obtained funding.

Requirements:
The candidate must have:
* A PhD in a discipline related to the position (e.g. SLA, Applied Linguistics, Multilingualism, Education, Bilingualism, language teaching, etc.).
* Senior profiles, with a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience, are desirable.
Assessment criteria:
The following aspects of the candidate’s application will be taken into consideration:
* Have an excellent track record in SLA research (Classroom-based research, instructed SLA, CLIL/ICLHE, EMI, TBLT, L2 Pragmatics, Language Assessment, Research Methodology, Bilingualism, or a related field) with solid skills and proven experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research. Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience in obtaining (predoctoral and/or postdoctoral) funding and leading (individual and/or group) funded research projects, and who sign papers as senior author.
* Proven record of effective teaching (with positive students’ evaluations) at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in the fields of Applied Linguistics and/or English for Specific Purposes.
* Ability to lead a research group and secure external funding.
* Ability to successfully supervise graduate and undergraduate students’ dissertations.
* Ability to work in groups and with other teams.
