IT Supporter
At BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) our Barcelona office is growing rapidly and we are seeking a proactive and talented IT Supporter to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. If you have 3-5 years of experience in IT support, desktop troubleshooting, and network setup this is your chance to make an impact in a dynamic and creative workplace.
As the sole IT supporter on-site you’ll collaborate with a team of 14 IT specialists across our Copenhagen, London, and New York offices tackling a broad range of technologies and challenges. This role is perfect for someone with a strong service mindset, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
1. IT Support: Deliver prompt and professional IT support to BIG Barcelona staff ensuring minimal downtime.
2. Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and network issues including Microsoft Office 365, printers, phones, and specialized software.
3. Incident Management: Log, track, and manage incidents in the Service Desk system providing clear updates to IT Management.
4. Network Maintenance: Configure and troubleshoot network equipment such as Ubiquiti hardware.
5. User Management: Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and data security complying with GDPR and local regulations.
6. Vendor Relations: Act as the primary contact for local IT service providers and negotiate contracts when necessary.
7. Equipment Management: Plan for and purchase IT equipment assisting with onboarding/offboarding processes.
8. Trend Reporting: Share insights on recurring technical issues with the global IT team to improve overall efficiency.
9. Innovation: Research new IT solutions and recommend improvements to enhance our infrastructure.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
1. Has 3-5 years of IT support experience in a professional environment.
2. Is skilled in Microsoft environments and has experience with a range of hardware and software tools.
3. Thrives in a dynamic, self-motivated role balancing independence with teamwork.
4. Communicates effectively in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
5. Is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a positive problem-solving attitude.
