About the Role
Mission of the position:
1. Improve and consolidate good practices on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
2. Take care of the global management of the area.
3. Perform hazards identification and risk assessment on job activities and workplaces to ensure they meet safety regulations.
4. Promote occupational health and good practices within the Company and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
5. Cooperate with managers, employees, and other professionals to ensure that workplaces and job activities conform with organizational procedures and safety standards.
6. Ensure the Company is aware of, and complies with, all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities, and the use of its plant, equipment, and substances.
7. Carry out the relationship with external Competent Bodies and Regulatory Organizations.
8. Manage the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes, and recommend actions in cooperation with other company figures involved.
9. Manage HSE training programs and conduct training sessions for management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
10. Generate and maintain the corresponding and mandatory HSE documentation and promote the commitment to reporting and avoiding bad practices by all employees.
11. Coordinate emergency procedures, firefighting, and first aid crews.
12. Report to management on the status of occupational health and safety programs (KPIs).
13. Coordinate annual medical check-ups, third-party activities, and needed PPE delivery.
What You Need to Be Successful:
1. Degree in three HSE specialties (ergonomics, safety, and hygiene).
2. 5 years of experience as an HSE Specialist and performing risk assessments in the manufacturing industry.
3. Knowledge of standard ISO 45001:2018 and experience in Occupational health and safety.
4. Knowledge of standard ISO 14001:2015 and competencies leading processes of waste management, environmental risk assessment, and Greenhouse Gas emissions.
5. Experience and ability in HSE training and internal audits.
6. Proficient in applying quantitative risk assessment techniques.
7. Knowledge of basic record-keeping practices.
8. Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office package & ERP environment.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Fluent in English (oral and written).
