What We Need:
The Black Information Network is the first and only 24/7 National and local all-news audio network dedicated to providing an objective, accurate, and trusted source of news coverage with a Black voice and perspective. We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented News Anchor to produce daily news content for The Black Information Network.
What You'll Do:
1. Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research;
2. Monitor sources for breaking news;
3. Plan, write, edit, and voice news broadcasts;
4. Finalize content using digital audio editing software;
5. Maintain crucial deadlines;
6. Produce features and interviews as assigned;
7. Prepare written content, visual images, audio material, and video footage for various platforms.
What You'll Need:
1. Expertise using Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms;
2. Knowledge of local and national trends related to news impacting the Black community;
3. Pleasant, charismatic voice; excellent pronunciation;
4. Strong writing and editing skills;
5. Proficiency in media production and broadcast systems;
6. 3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism;
7. 4-year college degree in Broadcast Journalism or Communications.

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and alignment with market data. Range: $22.86 - $28.57
