Due to expansion, we are looking to add an additional Remote Sales Engineer into our international team based in Barcelona (Spain).
As part of a global international sales team focused on Mettler Toledo industrial weighing solutions, the main purpose of this role is to manage remote sales from assigned international European partners by closely supporting our network of globally selected partners from Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Support to partners includes product information, best technical solution recommendations, pricing, quotes creation and follow-up, and support for the partner’s sales cycle needs.
The product portfolio includes a wide range of Industrial Weighing Solutions for applications in segments such as pharma, food & beverage, and engineering.
Tasks:
* Review customer and partner requests for divisional product portfolio and specify technical solutions in line with requirements and best technical/cost alternatives.
* Manage the pipeline and monitor the progress status of each opportunity, ensuring timely follow-up on business opportunities, reacting promptly to partner requests as well as anticipating requests. Maintain and regularly review the pipeline of projects in the Company CRM.
* Ensure correct technical solutions and pricing are maintained for projects before they are entered as orders in our system.
* Monitor that partners maintain an adequate level of technical knowledge on products/solutions and coordinate appropriate training when necessary.
* Distribute technical documentation and sales tools among partners, supporting them in usage and ensuring they aid partners in improving the sales process and increasing conversion rates of opportunities.
* Support lead generation activities, webinars, partner/customer presentations, lead qualification activities, e-GTC, and customer-facing project discussions.
* Perform remote customer meetings (online/phone) together with the partner, support with remote e-demos, arrange training sessions, and coordinate other similar activities.
What You Need to Succeed:
* Education: Engineering Degree / Technical Education or solid background in electronics, electrical/mechanical/software engineering.
* Experience: At least 2 years in a related remote (phone/online) sales/customer support role in a B2B environment with technical products/solutions. Experience in managing distributors/dealers is highly desirable.
* Soft Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, proactivity, highly involved, and committed to finding solutions for partners.
* IT Skills: Fluent in Microsoft Office.
* Languages: Fluent in French and English is a must. Other language skills are highly valued (Spanish, Arabic, German, others).
