As part of the HP Solutions, the Renew Solutions organization was recently established to expand HP's device renewal capabilities (remanufacturing and refurbishment) and capitalize on the growing global demand for sustainability.
The Renew GlobalCategory Organization within Renew Solutions is responsible for the regional growth of Renew category. Under their umbrella they will be accountable for Demand orchestration within the region, including supply & demand planning, as well as inventory and purchasing operations. Global Category also manages HP Remarketing, demand generation, awareness, and sales training.
As the Sr. Manager, Global Renew Operations you will play a critical role in shaping the profitability and operations of the Renew category. This position will report directly to the Head of Renew Global Category and will work to build best in class practices when it comes to Operations strategy & cost management. The role will oversee global demand planning and end-to-end cost management, and partner with supply chain to drive excellence when it comes to quality governance and physical footprint of operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Support HP as a global leader in the services and circular economy.
* Focused goal to scale global remanufacturing flexibility with best-in-class cost, quality, and service level
* Design and oversee an industry best practice for managing E2E costs (labour, materials, refurb, logistics, acquisition, fixed, etc.) for the Renew GBU, understand the cost model at each location & drive processes to proactively identify cost savings & margin accelerating activities
* Implement & oversee demand planning for the Renew GBU, drive best practice for forecasting and driving accuracy across all platforms
* Drive E&O targets & management with a keen understanding and mitigation activity surrounding business performance and impact on fixed costs, absorption, E&O, NRV, BER, etc
* Partner with Supply Chain to Design a global operation including manufacturing location selections across PC/Print/Hybrid Solutions, contract partner selections, internal vs. external manufacturing, potential acquisition targets with strategic operational capabilities by region
* Liaison between the GBU & Supply Chain on quality documentation and inbound/outbound standards across all products and refurb operations
* Active participation and contribution to physical footprint locations including GBU representation on SOWs, RFQs, RFPs including any MSAs and redlining efforts to drive best possible outcome for Renew Solutions
* This position will need to understand government regulations/legislations related to the circular economy and the impacts both short-term and long-term
* Manage and develop a team of operational experts to drive best possible outcomes for Renew
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
* 10+ years’ experience in hardware operations, with a history of progressive responsibilities
* Experience in refurbishment or remanufacturing of electronics
* Extensive business acumen, proven global manufacturing experience from prototype through end-of-life, and experience with both internal and contract manufacturing
* Prior operations experience at scale in the circularity industry. A detailed understanding of hardware manufacturing across PC, Print, and Hybrid Solutions
* Record of scaling innovation to create value for customers and partners
* Prior experience managing global operational budgets
* Experience managing remarketing operational activities
* Proven ability to lead and influence in a complex, highly matrixed, global company
* Experience managing global teams and conducting business internationally; ability to recognize and leverage local capabilities to drive innovation in thinking and collaboration across diverse team
* Executive presence and effective communication skills; ability to influence HP's hardware and services supply chain leadership; ability to build consensus across the organization to make things happen
* History of building high performance teams
* Strong leadership skills – motivating, coaching, supporting teams in a global hybrid environment
