The AREA SALES MANAGER is responsible for handling and developing a portfolio of hotels in specific destinations and the turnover generated by the private sales in these areas.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Portfolio elaboration: identify eligible hotels and convince them to participate in our private sales.
* Account management: commercial follow-up on existing partners and key accounts.
* Negotiation: negotiate conditions of private sales including competitive rates and inventories.
* Sales organization: KPIs analysis. Plan, implement and optimize the private sales.
* Benchmark: be on the lookout and analyze the competitive practices to help the decision-making process in accordance with VeryChic brand positioning.
* Competitive intelligence: reveal new consumption trends, new hotels, and new popular destinations.
* Attend major fairs in Europe and travel monthly to key destinations.
* Natural born business developer with a robust knowledge of sales techniques (prospection, negotiations, deals closing).
* Sales hunger is a must! You may never take a no for an answer.

Qualifications:
* Spoken and written fluency in Italian and English. Any additional language would be a plus.
* 3+ year professional experience, preferably in the e-commerce and/or travel industry.
