The role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Designer to lead the creative and visual direction of our projects. In this role, you will conceptualize, oversee, and execute engaging and high-quality multimedia content across video, motion graphics, landing pages, social media assets and other digital formats. You will collaborate closely with producers, freelance designers, writers, and clients to ensure that every piece of content aligns with brand goals while pushing creative boundaries. This is an opportunity to bring impactful visual storytelling to life and inspire audiences through innovative and engaging branded content.
This is a full-time position.
Core Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Concept Development
* Lead and execute design vision for video, motion graphics and content for other multimedia outputs like landing pages and social media assets as needed.
* Line Manage and creatively direct a motion designer in the day to day realization of the creative vision.
* Translate client briefs and strategies into compelling visual narratives that resonate with target audiences and align with overarching brand strategy and aesthetic.
* Develop and create mood boards, storyboards, style frames, and visual treatments to guide content development.
* Close collaboration with a Creative Director, who will work across all video content.
* Present creative ideas internally and to clients when needed, guiding projects from concept to final execution.
Content Execution & Production Oversight
* Design and develop creative concepts, bringing them to life through hands-on execution in pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
* Provide clear creative direction to motion designers, video editors, and animators, ensuring visual consistency and high standards.
* Ensure every visual element, from set design and lighting to motion graphics, aligns with the creative concept and quality standards.
Collaboration & Client Management
* Collaborate with our strategist, writers, producers, and project managers to align creative direction with project goals and timelines.
* Communicate effectively with clients, presenting creative ideas, gathering feedback, and ensuring deliverables meet their expectations.
Quality Control & Innovation
* Maintain visual consistency and brand integrity across all projects.
* Stay up-to-date with creative trends in video production, graphic design, motion design, and interactive content, applying innovations to enhance creative output.
* Foster a balance between creative excellence and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
* Lead and inspire a team of visual creatives, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
* Foster a collaborative, innovative, and efficient working environment, empowering the team to produce high-quality creative work.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong professional portfolio showcasing exceptional work in visual storytelling, video production, motion design, and social media content.
* 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Designer in video production, multimedia content, or branded content.
* Excellent creative instincts in innovating while following brand guidelines to make classy, premium visuals.
* Proven experience in pre-production, production, and post-production processes, including directing visual identity throughout the production process.
* Proficiency in Da Vinci, Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and any other relevant motion design tools.
* Strong leadership skills with experience guiding and supporting creative teams.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and sell creative concepts to clients.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality under pressure.
* Professional proficiency in English. Some Spanish would be a helpful plus.

* Experience working in B2B brands, making more "geeky" content fresh and cool.

* Experience with emerging technologies such as AR/VR, AI-based video tools, or interactive content.
* Prior experience working on international digital or high-profile brands.
* Understanding of digital marketing trends, social platforms, and audience engagement strategies.

Location
This position is based in Barcelona, Spain. We won't be taking candidates that aren't able to live in Barcelona. For all non-contract positions, you must have the right to work in Spain.
Working model
* As of 2025, our full-time team will be adopting a 4-day workweek with Fridays off.
* Most of us work remotely and gather at our Barcelona office 1-2 days a week to collaborate and connect.
* For this role, you will need to be present more often especially during the initial training period.
* Working hours are flexible – we trust you to manage your schedule around project needs and team commitments.
