What You Will Be Doing:
As a FCC Governance and Oversight Executive Director in HQ, you will be part of the Headquarters Compliance and Conduct function managing the FCC Governance and Oversight team. You will manage the team that develops a thorough understanding of the financial crime risk and its management within the unit, ensuring adherence to the Group’s FCC principles, appetite and control framework and ensuring that issues are duly documented and followed through to completion/resolution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the Governance and Oversight team.
* Developing a thorough understanding of the financial crime risk and its management within the unit.
* Ensuring adherence to the Group’s FCC principles, appetite and control framework.
* Documenting and following through on issues (Regulatory observations, Audit derived actions, self-identified issues, etc.) to completion/resolution.
* Ensuring Policy alignment as well as adequate reporting (MI, KRIs, KPIs, etc.).
* Performing the challenge and review of the metrics and RAS requesting root cause and action plans, and following the resolution of actions by the target date.
* Identifying potential risks or trends through metrics and ensuring proper escalation and management.
* Performing reporting requests to the CIB Committees, providing inputs and reviewing content to ensure a proper escalation process is followed.
* Influencing the design of risk assessments and determining the oversight and escalation process.
* Influencing the business on determining key metrics to measure operational effectiveness of controls.
* Managing ad hoc regulatory and group requests via internal stakeholder management.
* Conducting ongoing Assurance on the effectiveness of the control framework in line with Audit Methodology and GFCC Procedures.
Experience:
Experience of at least 7-10 years in FCC related functions, analysis of the business in matters of risk, FCC. Valuable experience in positions related to the wholesale banking business.
Education:
Bachelor Degree. A Master Degree related to this area is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking, markets, Global Transaction Banking, Global Debt Finance, Banking & Corporate Finance, and financial products as well as of regulation in these areas. Prior experience with a financial services company. Proven experience troubleshooting and discovering solutions quickly and effectively with exemplary written and verbal communication skills. High level of English and Spanish.
