The position is for a distribution company in the retail sector based in Barcelona.
Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Coordination: Supervise and manage logistics activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution of national and international freight transportation.
2. Warehouse Management: Oversee warehouses and external logistics operators, ensuring efficient receipt, dispatch, classification, and storage of goods.
3. Inventory and Stock Control: Optimize inventory processes and stock control within warehouses and throughout the transfer processes to company stores.
4. Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, carriers, and other partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
5. Cost Optimization: Analyze logistics costs, identify improvement areas, and implement cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
6. Order Portfolio Management: Supervise customer order portfolios, ensuring proper entry and processing while coordinating with the sales and warehouse teams to meet delivery schedules.
7. Customer Data Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer master data across internal systems, in collaboration with IT to maintain consistency on all platforms.
8. Shipping and Customer Service: Implement strategies to optimize stock and inventory, ensuring timely shipments to customers and meeting service level expectations. Oversee packing and shipping processes to ensure safe and timely delivery.
9. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the logistics and operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment to achieve company goals.
