What we do at the Marketing, Communication and Fundraising Department:
The ICN2 Marketing, Communication & Fundraising Department plays a central role in disseminating the cutting-edge research generated at the institute. Our team works closely with various stakeholders to maximize the visibility and impact of ICN2's scientific advancements. We manage all corporate communication channels, including the website and social media platforms, ensuring that the quality of our content reflects the high standards of scientific excellence ICN2 is known for. Additionally, the department is responsible for maintaining the institutional image and creating communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences, from our internal community and partners to industry professionals and the general public. We also emphasize the promotion of responsible research and innovation (RRI) in all our activities.
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
Efficiently assist all members of the team in their departmental tasks.
Participate in developing and implementing marketing initiatives and communication actions.
Support in managing digital communication channels.
Compose and refine written materials for various communication channels.
Help organise institutional events and scientific conferences.
Support with the collection and analysis of marketing data to inform strategic decisions.
What we are looking for:
* Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's program in Scientific Communication or related field.
* Knowledge:
Good foundation in marketing and communication principles.
Familiarity with content creation and social media management.
Basic understanding of event planning.
Familiarity with scientific topics or the scientific community is valued.Fluency in spoken and written English, Spanish and Catalan is mandatory.
* Professional Experience: Previous internships or volunteer work in marketing, communication, or related fields are beneficial, but not required.
What we offer:
* Paid Internship agreement (7€/hour)
* Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona)
* Schedule: Flexible work hours, part-time or full-time options available, with a 2-days/week work-from-home policy, to be coordinated with the department head.
* Total internship hours: To be determined based on the intern's availability and program requirements, aiming for a minimum of 300 hours for an optimal learning experience.
