What you will do
Integrated in the Design Department, the Mechanical Engineer – Thermodynamics will form part of the New Developments Introduction project (NPI), conceptualizing the new refrigerant cycles, calculating the unit and components dimensioning for new refrigerant developments. Following up and evaluating technically the new thermodynamic cycles performance and reliability topics among testing procedures.
Location: Vacarisses Plant, Barcelona.
How you will do it
Within the framework of R+D:
* Conceptualization of new thermodynamic cycles, specification and performance calculation.
* Monitoring and validation of its technical operation and approval at thermodynamic internal laboratories.
The main areas of work will be:
* Thermodynamics of the heat exchanger, the refrigerant cycle and hydraulic water cycle.
* Unit control regulation and specification.
* Product rated specification (efficiency calculation).
The candidate must be able to assume responsibilities, have criteria and initiative at each development step, and be able to make a judgment regarding the feasibility of the design and the results of the testing carried out for its approval.
What we are looking for
Engineering (industrial with thermodynamic specialization) or aeronautical engineering.
Min 3 years similar experience.
Knowledge of Thermodynamic Cycles (Refrigerant and Water cycle).
Knowledge of unit regulation, programming, simulation (Matlab) design will also be valued.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
