We are currently recruiting a Logistics Executive to join the team in Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities To provide efficient delivery logistics through shipment management. Fill out import-export and logistics documentation, keep track of shipments and incidences.
To coordinate European deliveries through the warehouse hubs and ensure the goods are delivered On Time In Full. To liaise with the warehouses for arrival and deliveries, making sure the client's warehouse requirements are met. Issue delivery notes and make sure the logistics tracker is updated accordingly.
To liaise with Clients and Forwarders for checking Customs regulations and be responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork to comply with client's / markets' foreign trade requirements.
Accurately prepare the shipping documents for customs clearance and other documents before the products ship.
To ensure documents are completed and updated in a timely and efficient manner and according to regulations and internal procedures.
To prepare, control and distribute all required Import documents and shipment information to counterparts (carrier, internal logistics teams, consignee, clients, supplier, etc.) complying with regulations and internal procedures.
Communicating with suppliers, forwarders, external and internal clients.
To check responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents.
Once the goods are transported, monitoring delivery schedules to be able to correct any mistakes or problems that occurred. Coordinating with overseas customs agents for international deliveries.
Proactively monitoring and follow-up based on shipping plan and liaising regularly with Forwarders and Carriers to ensure the shipment, transit and delivery is made on time (/in full).
Follows-up shipment status in the Import area; identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents.
To support the Accounts Team with Logistics quotations and chase the Forwarder to respond to quotations within the agreed KPI.
Give support to logistics' questions.
The role involves managing deadlines and sometimes difficult situations, therefore an element of negotiation to deal with the demands of overseas and counterparts, is required to be able to meet timescales.
To make sure customer requirements are met and take corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements. To maintain and bring up-to-date Logistics' Manuals and "market bibles'" information.
To ensure effective communication with all team members (Account Team, Operations, Forwarders) through use of weekly meetings as appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise At least 1-2 years working experience in the Logistics/Forwarding/Import/Export environment.
Familiar with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting shipments.
Familiar with logistics quotations, shipping documents such as B/L, CMR, POD, good understanding of Incoterms and how to calculate chargeable weights versus volumes and type of transport.
Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Languages:
Spanish, English (fluent – used daily)
Must be familiar with computer software programs eg Microsoft Office. Excellent Excel skills.
Be able to function in stressful and "chaotic" situations while maintaining their flexibility, patience, pleasantness, and above all, accuracy.
Communicate efficiently with customers, transportation companies, drivers, custom brokers, and various other authorities.
Strong administrative skills and is very organized.
