Splio publishes a SaaS marketing platform that integrates CDP and Marketing Automation, as well as all essential CRM features (loyalty, Mobile Wallets), into a single platform powered by AI.
The platform enables CRM teams in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, and Telecoms to communicate and engage with their customers in a personalized manner across all channels (email, SMS, Push Wallet...).
More than 500 retail, e-commerce, FMCG, and Telecom companies across Europe and the MEA use Splio on a daily basis, including Nature et Découvertes, Longchamp, Bazarchic, APC, The Kooples, Fnac-Darty, Micromania, Faguo, Cyrillus, Orange, and Samsung.
Job description
Your role as Engineering Manager:
* Be directly in charge of the Data Processing & Metrics team: organize and conduct 1o1’s & make sure of the well-being of 5 team members.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations (mid-year and end-year), set clear performance goals for all team members, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
* Empower your team to build better products and provide guidance to help them thrive in their role and grow within the company.
* Participate in the recruitment of new talents and ensure their integration into the team.
* You are accountable for team organization and efficiency to allow expected delivery:
o Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, meet quality standards and product goals by defining and monitoring the delivery KPIs.
* You work as an Individual Contributor with the team (50% of your time).
* You are responsible for the quality of service; we follow the concept “you build it, you run it”:
o Build, manage & improve several hundred data pipelines.
o Focus on:
+ Multi Tenancy: every client has its own data schema, ability to build flexible and configurable KPIs.
+ Scalability: Client’s data can be big, but the computation and scoring we process for our clients are even bigger.
+ Cost efficiency: linked to the amount of data to process for each client, we maintain the cost low to make profit.
* You work closely with:
o a Principal Engineer who defines the technical strategy for your team in accordance with company technical strategy and product goals and is the technical Expert referent for the team.
o a Product Manager, who defines and specifies product goals for the team in accordance with the company strategy.
o a Facilitator who supports the team’s Agile organization, defines and follows best practices. The facilitator ensures a continuous improvement mindset and helps the EM build team cohesion.

Job requirements
A strong background in engineering allowing you to handle new technologies & to challenge technical choices.
Proficiency with relevant programming languages, frameworks, and technologies (SQL, Python, dbt, GCP, Airflow).
Excellent communication skills & coaching skills to enhance your team's performance.
Able to lead by example and take ownership.
Comfortable in dealing with change and uncertainty during the software development lifecycle.
Good knowledge about Agile development practices.
Good English skills (speaking and writing).
