At Claire Joster, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join the dynamic Drug Discovery & Mechanism of Action (MoA) in Oncology research team within PharmaMar, a leading pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing drug discovery efforts and elucidating the mechanisms of action of novel anticancer agents. This position requires a strong background in cancer biology, molecular biology techniques, and gene editing, along with a proven track record of innovative research .
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the successful execution of assigned projects within the required timelines and in accordance with departmental dynamics (e.g., experimental design, assay scheduling, and results review).
* Perform research activities following established internal departmental guidelines and company-wide regulations (e.g., information management, safety protocols).
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including results review, data recording in laboratory notebooks and databases.
* Prepare study protocols, activity summaries, project updates, and technical reports.
* Provide intellectual and technical contributions to both individual and team projects, including study proposals, experimental design, and critical review of results.
* Facilitate effective internal communication with team members, other research groups within the department, and cross-functional teams in the R&D division.
* Actively participate in activities that contribute to the efficient operation of the department and the broader R&D area.
* Supervise, train, and mentor technical personnel, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
Requirements:
* Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
* Demonstrated expertise in cancer biology, with a deep understanding of the molecular pathways driving tumorigenesis.
* Strong background in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including cell culture, gene expression analysis, protein assays, and signal transduction studies .
* Experience in transcriptional regulation, functional genomics, and/or epigenomics is highly valued.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively present complex scientific findings.
* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in supervising and mentoring junior researchers and students.
* Strong publication record in high-impact scientific journals.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
* Hands-on experience with CRISPR/Cas9 or other genome editing technologies.
* Familiarity with high-throughput CRISPR-Cas9 library genome screening .
* Previous involvement in oncology drug discovery projects .
