What we are looking for
Desired education
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, communications, information science, business or related major.
General knowledge
Fluent in English (written and verbal). CV must be in English to be considered.
Sound knowledge of the Internet.
Solid understanding of basic copywriting.
Qualities
* Demonstrates the ability to get things done.
* Continues to follow up on content placement submissions that were unsuccessful the first time.
* Facebook account with more than 100 friends (only used to verify understanding of the website).
* Twitter account with more than 50 followers (only used to check website comprehension).
* Administrator / moderator of a forum or blog (a bonus).
* Power account on Twitter, Reddit, HackerNews, etc. (e.g. defined as 500+ followers) (one bonus).
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience as a social media specialist or digital marketer, or minimum 2 years experience in the marketing industry.
Blogging experience (desired).
Basic HTML or image editing experience (desired).
Customer service experience in any industry (desired).
What you will do
Responsibilities
* Develop an overall social media strategy for Zapiplay partners (i.e. customers).
* Connect with customers on a regular basis to answer questions, implement strategies and review social media campaign performance.
* Develop paid social media strategies (e.g. Hulu, Pandora, Spotify, ad display networks) for Zapiplay's partners (i.e. customers).
* Research and create "buyer personas" online.
* Create programmes that leverage elements of earned, owned and paid media.
* Research and present content ideas created for bloggers, editors and journalists.
* Oversee the development of creatives / assets for social channels.
* Manage the content creation workflow.
* Provide consulting, monitoring and management services for social networks.
* Consult with clients on their business objectives and propose solutions and strategies to meet their needs.
* Promote internal knowledge sharing and ensure that Zapiplay and our customers stay at the forefront of relevant trends.
* This position requires 40 hours of remote availability per week during our standard office hours (9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST).
* Requires reliable Internet access.
Percentage breakdown
* 30% customer interaction (phone calls, meetings, e-mails, etc.)
* 15% writing / calendar creation
* 15% reports / analysis
* 10% managing social media advertising campaigns
* 10% competition analysis
